I know I know!! It's already March 9th and here I am posting FEBRUARY favorites. I'm late on the train this month, but I still wanted to get my favs up because I had several awesome ones!! Today I'm all kinds of giddy because I am officially on spring break. I can't even begin to explain how incredibly excited I am to have a whole week off to relax. But, anyway let's get into my favorite products of February!
Clinique Superbalanced Makeup
So, the first product I want to talk about is this foundation from Clinique. I picked this up because I got a sample from Sephora a few months back and absolutely loved it. Lately I've been spending the majority of my time either at school, work or home, so I've been really preferring "no makeup" makeup these days. This foundation honestly gives the perfect amount of coverage for that type of look. It's super super light on the skin, blends like a dream and is pretty moisturizing on the skin, but it's not insanely dewy. The formula itself has a very thin consistency, that is buildable, but I would not recommend this to my full coverage loving friends. Beyond the great formula the price point is EVERYTHING! It's only $25 a bottle and does come with a whole fluid ounce (average of most foundations). The only con I have found with this is that it doesn't have a pump. Other than that I give this foundation 5 stars for my light coverage days!
Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in La La
Next up is one of the Colourpop single eyeshadows, in their older cream formula in the shade La La. Now, this color and formula is not new by any means, I've actually had this in my collection for quite a while now. But, recently I have just really fallen back in love with this shade. I love all of the Colourpop cream eye shadows that I have in the shimmer formula, they have SO much pigment and last forever on the eyes. This color specifically is just such a nice light bronze tone, I love applying it all over the lid or just throwing it on with a light brown blended in the crease.
This last month my lips have been so dry. I don't know what's going on, I think maybe because the weather's been so up and down, like it's 50 one day and 20 the next, my lips have just been a crackly mess. I've been exfoliating like crazy and pretty much only wearing these three lippies when I do put anything on my lips!
Nivea Milk & Honey Soothing Lip Balm
So my real go to lately has been this Nivea Milk & Honey lip balm. I've been a huge fan of their Coco Butter Kiss lipbalm in the twist container for years now. But my problem with that one is I don't like applying it when I'm out and about, because I have to dig my dirty fingers into the product and it just feels gross to do in public. So, I went to Target and found this guy in the typical chapstick form and I love it! It's not quite as moisturizing as their lipbalm in the little tin, but it still is really nice and makes my lips feel a lot better when they are cracking like mad!
Covergirl Oh Sugar! Lip Balms
When I want to add a little color and sheen to my lips I've been reaching for my Covergirl Oh Sugar! Lip Balm in the shade Caramel. I have two other shades from this range that are more pinky and I love to wear in the summer months. But, the shade caramel is just so nice for the winter in my opinion. It's a super light wash of color! You will barely see it on the lips, it mostly just adds a soft sheen and it looks really nice over a more pigmented nude lipstick. I love the way this formula wears, it's super moisturizing and enriched with vitamins. I also feel like it's very similar to the Fresh Sugar Lip Balms but at a fraction of the price!
Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stains
And, lastly on the rare occasion that I do go out with friends or Mark I've been almost always reaching for this new shade from the Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stains in the shade 41 Vintage Rosewood. You guys already know how much I love the lipsticks from this range. I talked about another favorite shade in my January favorites here. The formula of these is very nice for a more affordable liquid lip. They are the least drying formula I've tried and last for HOURS. This shade is such a gorgeous deep nude with brick tones in it. I feel like it would look fab on almost any skin tone!
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask
(Any last but not at all least, my skin care favorite of this last month, which I didn't get a picture of.) My skin has been having a moment, or more like a whole season. Since mid November I have been dealing with off and on texture and severe dryness unlike ever before. This overnight mask is my savior. After using this mask my face feels so soft and my makeup applies so evenly. It's become my favorite face mask I've tried to date!
