February Favorites

I know I know!! It's already March 9th and here I am posting FEBRUARY favorites. I'm late on the train this month, but I still wanted to get my favs up because I had several awesome ones!! Today I'm all kinds of giddy because I am officially on spring break. I can't even begin to explain how incredibly excited I am to have a whole week off to relax. But, anyway let's get into my favorite products of February!

Clinique Superbalanced Makeup

So, the first product I want to talk about is this foundation from Clinique. I picked this up because I got a sample from Sephora a few months back and absolutely loved it. Lately I've been spending the majority of my time either at school, work or home, so I've been really preferring "no makeup" makeup these days. This foundation honestly gives the perfect amount of coverage for that type of look. It's super super light on the skin, blends like a dream and is pretty moisturizing on the skin, but it's not insanely dewy. The formula itself has a very thin consistency, that is buildable, but I would not recommend this to my full coverage loving friends. Beyond the great formula the price point is EVERYTHING! It's only $25 a bottle and does come with a whole fluid ounce (average of most foundations). The only con I have found with this is that it doesn't have a pump. Other than that I give this foundation 5 stars for my light coverage days!

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in La La

Next up is one of the Colourpop single eyeshadows, in their older cream formula in the shade La La. Now, this color and formula is not new by any means, I've actually had this in my collection for quite a while now. But, recently I have just really fallen back in love with this shade. I love all of the Colourpop cream eye shadows that I have in the shimmer formula, they have SO much pigment and last forever on the eyes. This color specifically is just such a nice light bronze tone, I love applying it all over the lid or just throwing it on with a light brown blended in the crease.

This last month my lips have been so dry. I don't know what's going on, I think maybe because the weather's been so up and down, like it's 50 one day and 20 the next, my lips have just been a crackly mess. I've been exfoliating like crazy and pretty much only wearing these three lippies when I do put anything on my lips!

Nivea Milk & Honey Soothing Lip Balm

So my real go to lately has been this Nivea Milk & Honey lip balm. I've been a huge fan of their Coco Butter Kiss lipbalm in the twist container for years now. But my problem with that one is I don't like applying it when I'm out and about, because I have to dig my dirty fingers into the product and it just feels gross to do in public. So, I went to Target and found this guy in the typical chapstick form and I love it! It's not quite as moisturizing as their lipbalm in the little tin, but it still is really nice and makes my lips feel a lot better when they are cracking like mad!

Covergirl Oh Sugar! Lip Balms

When I want to add a little color and sheen to my lips I've been reaching for my Covergirl Oh Sugar! Lip Balm in the shade Caramel. I have two other shades from this range that are more pinky and I love to wear in the summer months. But, the shade caramel is just so nice for the winter in my opinion. It's a super light wash of color! You will barely see it on the lips, it mostly just adds a soft sheen and it looks really nice over a more pigmented nude lipstick. I love the way this formula wears, it's super moisturizing and enriched with vitamins. I also feel like it's very similar to the Fresh Sugar Lip Balms but at a fraction of the price!

Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stains

And, lastly on the rare occasion that I do go out with friends or Mark I've been almost always reaching for this new shade from the Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stains in the shade 41 Vintage Rosewood. You guys already know how much I love the lipsticks from this range. I talked about another favorite shade in my January favorites here. The formula of these is very nice for a more affordable liquid lip. They are the least drying formula I've tried and last for HOURS. This shade is such a gorgeous deep nude with brick tones in it. I feel like it would look fab on almost any skin tone!

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

(Any last but not at all least, my skin care favorite of this last month, which I didn't get a picture of.) My skin has been having a moment, or more like a whole season. Since mid November I have been dealing with off and on texture and severe dryness unlike ever before. This overnight mask is my savior. After using this mask my face feels so soft and my makeup applies so evenly. It's become my favorite face mask I've tried to date!

What were your favorite products from February?

New to my Skin Care Collection

Over Christmas I was lucky enough to receive quite a few skin care products from family and friends as gifts! So today I wanted to give a little run down on exactly what they are and how I like them so far. Let's get going!! (Ps. I am SUPER proud of how these photos turned out! How do you guys like the marble background!??)

Origins Drink up Intensive Overnight Mask $26

I was really excited to receive this from my parents because my skin has been so DRY this winter! This overnight mask is a moisture intensive product, for dry skin types, with the purpose of adding a load of moisture to your skin. It contains apricot and avocado oils, along with japanese sea weed! I've only used this mask once so far, but on first impression, I liked it a lot. It smells fresh and leaves my face feeling soft and refreshed in the morning. Plus, it's a pretty great value! A little goes a long way with this mask, and the package is pretty good sized, so it should last a long time.

Glossier Priming Moisturizer $25

If you have dry skin or seasonal dry patches, drop by Glossier's website NOW and order yourself this primer! I mean it. Over the last few weeks this primer has landed a solid spot in my daily makeup/skincare routine. After cleansing my skin (with my Glossier milk jelly cleanser) I pop on some of my holy grail First Aid Beauty cream, and finish by coating my entire face with this baby. I gotta be honest, I don't notice too much of a difference in the longevity of my makeup with this primer. But, for my purposes, with the way my skin has been, I don't care much. Mac Fix + holds my makeup in place on it's own and this lovely gem keeps my skin feeling soft and hydrated for hours!

Ultra Repair Cream with Vanilla $30

As I mentioned in the above paragraph, and have mentioned about 50 billion times throughout the last year, the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is my HOLY GRAIL heavy duty moisturizer! So obviously, when I saw the cute little holiday set this cream came in, I knew I had to have it! The set came with two, 2 oz containers of the magic cream I love so dear. This one is same formula as the classic, scentless cream, but with a soft vanilla scent. It's perfect for the dry spots on my legs and arms and keeps me smelling sweet all day!

Foreo Luna Mini $139

This gift was one I was most excited for this year. I've been wanting to invest in an electronic cleanser for a while now. The Foreo really intrigued me because of it's silicon based bristles, which make it more sanitary and easy to clean. So far I've been really impressed with it! I feel like it gives me a much deeper clean, especially in the areas I typically have lots of blackheads. I chose to go for the mini version for a couple reasons, A.) it's cheaper and B.) I felt like the smaller version would allow me to navigate my face a littttle better. Needless to say, I'm quite satisfied with my choice! Let me know in the comments if you guys would like to see a full skin care routine post featuring this!

Honeyskin Ultimate Face and Body Cream $23.37

I got this giant cream from my great uncle on Christmas eve, he always finds the most unique and personalized gifts! I'd never heard of this brand before, but it really seems like something special. All of Honeyskin's products are natural, gluten free, paraban free and animal "friendly". This specific cream claims to be the ultimate cream for dryness, even as severe as eczema, rosacea or psoriasis. I've only gotten the chance to use this a few times, but so far I'm impressed! The formula is a thicker consistency than many moisturizers, you can really feel it absorbing into the skin. It also has a soft, natural scent, mostly of honey!
