Hello Everyone! I hope you are all having a great start to the week, I am so excited to finally share my review on the second beautiful Tartelette Amazonian Palette, Tartelette in Bloom. It has quickly become my most reached for palette and I cannot get enough of it! Tarte has really hit the nail on this head with this one. First of all can we talk about the packaging? It is so darn cute. I feel like I could actually leave this sitting out on a coffee table as a decoration, with it’s beautiful floral design and gold accents why wouldn’t I? Okay onto the actual purpose of the palette…
The Tartelette in Bloom Palette comes with 12 gorgeous shades, 3 shimmer and 9 matte. My favorites include: flower child, funny girl, jetsetter, smarty pants, sweetheart and firecracker. Not only are these shades great to look at, they are also great in quality. The overall pigment, formula and wear are to die for and to top that off they smell like, brace yourself, chocolate. I also love how smooth and velvety they feel. Compared to many other shadow options they are super soft and go on nicely without much fallout.
The lightest shadows in this palette are charmer, flower and funny girl. Charmer is a cream/white color that is great for blending with the darker colors like rebel and activist. Flower child is more of a nude, but again is great for blending with lighter options or applying as your base. Funny girl is the lightest shimmer shade in the palette, it’s very subtle but adds a very nice shimmer tone to any darker color. These three shades are super light and difficult to see in the photo below (I apologize for that!) but they are all beautiful blending options and for those no makeup, makeup days they are lovely on their own.
The next column of shades includes jetsetter, smarty pants and sweetheart; the rosy shades. Jetsetter is a gorgeously natural looking brown perfect for blending in the crease with smarty pants as the base. Smarty pants, with it's sutbtle pink tones is very blendable as I said, but also beautiful on it's own. Sweetheart is next up, and serves as the pinkest shade in the palette. If pinks aren't your thing don't worry a bit about this color, I am not a fan of many rosy shades on my own eyes, but I love sweetheart!
Rocker, firecracker and rebel serve as a few of my favorites from this bunch! I'm a big fan of all three, but especially rocker. At first glance it looks grey on the actual palette, but once swatched it appears like a soft rose gold. Firecracker, the darkest shimmer shade, is another favorite of mine with it's awe-worthy golden hues. Finally rebel, the chocolately brown is perfect for blending in my crease similar to jetsetter, but it gives more of a dramatic look.
Back in black! Okay but seriously, I'm using these last three 'black' tones more than I ever thought I would! Typically I only use the deep dark tones for an eyeliner effect but these three are so blendable I can do even more. Smokeshow is without a doubt the darkest and most black of the three, this is the only exception to the eyeliner thing I just mentioned. I really love how blendable it is though for those days I don't want to deal with liquid liner. Activist is another deceiving shade, it appears to be black on the palette but once swatched blends into a gorgeous dark brown. Leader is the darker brother of rebel, again a brown neutral shade, I love using this chocolately duo together!
