Blogmas Day 4: My Bralette Obsession

cover bralettes-copy

bralettes2

Alright ladies and gents, it's one of those nights! I'm talking about the kind of night where I had to work, have a ton of homework to finish and all I want to do is SLEEP. But I had to get my 4th day of Blogmas post up!! I have been loving this nightly posting so much! Sooo here it is. Tonight I want to quickly talk a little bit about my *delicates* and by that I mean bralettes, because as the title states, I am obsessed.

So one problem with being on the super petite side of the spectrum and having a flat upper half (ya picking up what I'm putting down?) is that a lot of shirts fit far too loosely on top. I love that bralettes allow me to wear those baggier shirts with style and class. (PLUS no wires in them like stupid bras!!!!!!)

Here' a few of my favorite styles and brands...

Victora Secret Front Close Bralette $20

This bralette is defiantly my favorite style from my collection. First of all, it opens in the front so it's super easy to put on and take off. It's also super comfortable! The material is incredibly soft, I barely notice I'm wearing it. Oh, and it has a little bit of padding, unlike the majority of other bralettes I've tried. I have three colors and love them all!

Victora Secret Crochet Lace Triangle Bralette $20

I love the style of this bralette specifically because of the strappy detail on the front! I love the way it looks paired with a v neck tee or low cut sweater. The other day I wore it with a cozy v neck tee and a burgundy lace choker, it looked super cute and slightly edgy with all the details. I can't wait to try the combo again.

Xhilaration Women's Lace Bralette $12.99

This more affordable option is the style that really got me hooked on bralettes this season! It has a gorgeous floral lace design and comes in several beautiful colors. It's very comfortable to wear and looks great worn so many ways! What I love most about this style is that it has an adjuster in the back to give you the right fit.

What do you think of the bralette trend this season? XX,

October Favorites

coverphoto Hello my lovelies, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Today I want to share a few of my favorite products I used all through the month of October. There have been so many great product releases with the holiday's around the corner, and also a few old favorites! Enjoy!

milaniblush

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso $7.49

This blush has been a cult favorite among the beauty community for a long time now and I've actually had it in my collection for quite some time as well. Although this is not a new favorite, I have been really rediscovering my love for it in the recent weeks! At a price point of under $10 I can confidently say this is one of the best (probably top 5) blushes I have ever tried! So this blush by Milani, in the shade Luminoso is the most stunning, yet subtle, peach shade. What sets this shade apart from others is the unique shimmer it puts off on the cheek bones. Now typically I really dislike shimmery blushes. I am a MATTE blush kind of gal. But, the shimmer in this product is so soft and plays off beautifully on the cheeks!

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation Stick in 115=R230  $43

Lately this foundation has been my go-to for days when I only have 5 or 10 minutes to get out the door. I love applying this with my It Cosmetics for Ulta Airbrush Blurring Foundation brush (or for a cheaper option, the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush). With just a few swipes across the face this foundation gives a flawless medium-full coverage finish. I wouldn't describe the formula as either matte or dewy, I really feel like it's the perfect in-between, natural finish! I do want to mention that the one downside of this foundation is that it is a bit pricey for the amount of product. As common with most/all foundation sticks it comes with around half the amount of the typical liquid foundation. BUT, in my experience I feel like this product is used up in about the same time as a liquid foundation. I notice that I use a lot less product with this foundation and also avoid wasting excess product, because I apply it directly from the packaging to my face.

Smashbox Always on Liquid Lip in Stepping Out $24

This. Liquid. Lipstick. Oh. My. Goodness-gracious. You guys this is so so so good!! I received this a few weeks (maybe months???) ago in the Sephora Favorite's Gimme Some More Lip value set (which is IN STOCK and only $28, get it here! Like seriously only $4 more and you get like 5 other lippies....), and I have been in love ever since! This shade is honestly nothing like I have in my collection, and a color I normally wouldn't reach for. It's a beautiful cross between a reddy brown and mauve, perfect for fall! Also, the formula of this stuff is GOLD. The lipstick itself is thicker than the average lipstick and applies with the most intense matte opacity. Plus, it's super comfortable to wear and lasts for hours! I was beyond shocked, when I ate greasy pasta, to find it still beautifully applied afterwards. Oh and on a side note, the packaging is A+ and the applicator is so cool. It's very different than the typical doe foot, instead it's shaped almost like a diamond. With a hole in the center. Weird right? I thought so too, until I heard the other day that it's shaped this way to apply the perfect amount of product without over-doing it. Which makes total sense and only makes me adore this lipstick MORE!

Bite Beauty Mulit Stick in Gelato $24

Ugh. I have been loving these so much lately! So, just in case you somehow haven't heard of these awesome new products yet, let me explain. The Bite Beauty Multi Sticks are essentially a multi use product, shaped similarly to a lipstick, that are meant to be used interchangeably as a cream blush, eye shadow and lipstick. I just think these are such an amazing idea! I currently have three colors in my collection, but Gelato is currently my fav. It's a gorgeous mauvey-browny shade applies perfectly in the crease as an eye shadow and also looks marvelous on the lips! My favorite way to use these is on my eyes as a shadow base/all over lid color. They are super pigmented and last so long! However, they must be set with a translucent/light colored powder, or else they  will crease, BAD. But other than that I love this product! They're perfect to throw in my bag for overnight trips, in a tube the size of a lipstick you get a shadow, blush/bronzer and lipstick all in one!

lorac

Lorac Mega Pro 3 Palette

And last but very not least! The Lorac Mega Pro 3 palette!!! When I saw this releasing a few weeks ago I immediately knew I had to get my hands on it. I am a huge fan of the Loarc shadows and the shade range within this palette is incredible. I have honestly been using it nonstop for the last 2 weeks without any other shadows/palettes! It's so versatile and gives you SUCH a bang for your buck. Anyway, this is all I'm going to say for tonight because a full review will be up next week!! And I'm so sad to announce this is currently sold out online (I don't know if they will restock either...) but I have seen it in stock in several Ulta stores! So run to your local Ulta! Hurry!
