Happy Easter weekend! I hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow with friends and family celebrating His resurrection and collecting as many Easter eggs as possible!
Confession time: I have a serious obsession with liquid lipstick. I have been gathering quite the collection of them recently, and although there are so many different formulas out there that I love today I want to share one of my most reached for liquid lippies with you! I love high end lip products, don’t get me wrong, but if I feel that the drugstore has a fabulous selection of lip products for half the price of most high end. My absolute favorite lately is without a doubt the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolors.
These gorgeous liquid lippies come in 8 colors, ranging from a pinky nude to a deep red. They retail at $7.99 if purchased at Target and $8.99 at Ulta. Compared to many other drugstore products their packaging is sleek and I would even compare it to a lipstick I would see in the high end lines. It comes in a decently sized frosted bottle with a twist cap. The applicator is the classic doe-foot, but I like how this one particularly is a bit longer than the norm and comes to a thin tip which makes application much more precise.
I have four colors from the collection: Love, Temptation, Obsession and Devotion. Love was the first one I purchased and the one that got me hooked. I love this color so much because it is a true bright red, perfect for a classic look. Temptation and Obsession look similar in packaging, but Obsession swatches a much brighter fuchsia while Temptation is much softer and more wearable for everyday looks. Devotion is the perfect my lips but better shade, with nude undertones.
The formula of this product is just so amazing! I can apply it early in the morning and it will still cover my lips by 3 p.m. I find that it does feather a bit on the edges and fades a bit on the center of my bottom lip after a long day of wear. But besides that it does not dry my lips out at all and lasts better than most other lipsticks I have tried. I would fully recommend this formula for anyone looking for a cheaper option of liquid lipstick!
