Happy HALLOWEEK!!!! EEK!
I’m so excited to be sharing this trendy and simple Halloween costume with you today! I recently added this adorable teddy bear coat to my wardrobe and have been wearing it non-stop. As the weather has been getting colder and colder I wanted to be sure to have a cute and cozy option for Halloween festivities!
So for this adorable costume the main event is of course, one of this season’s hottest trends, this teddy bear coat. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect teddy coat for weeks and took a chance in ordering this one not too long ago. And it was so worth it. It’s super soft and warm, a great price, and the best part, from Amazon prime! Which means, if you’re still on the hunt for the perfect Halloween costume for this year’s festivities, you can order this jacket and have it shipped to your house with days to spare before the weekend!
As for the ears, I have a quick and easy DIY project for you! This little project honestly only took about 10 minutes. For these easy DIY “teddy bear ears” you will need…
-a brown or black headband
-ribbon (if you don’t have a black/brown headband, you can wrap any headband in brown ribbon. Just use the hot glue to secure!)
-brown/tan yarn (I used thicker yarn for a puffier look, but thin yarn will work too!)
-hot glue gun
To make the bear ears follow this DIY Pom Pom tutorial and simply hot glue the pom poms to your headband! And ta-da you have cute DIY’d teddy bear ears! (If you really don’t want to DIY, you could buy some off of Amazon too! But I think the DIY’d look is adorable and it’s super easy.)
For the rest of the ensemble I just went with a basic pair of distressed black jeans, a long sleeve tee, and to stick with the warm and fuzzy theme, my new favorite pair of knock-off Ugg boots! Last but not least, I drew a heart-shaped nose on my face with some brown eye-liner!
I love how this costume turned out and I’m excited to wear it out on Halloween night! If you re-create this look be sure to tag me (@somethingshannon), I’d love to see your take on this costume!
